Bathroom demolition in Ajax
A bathroom is the heaviest room in the house per square foot, and all of it goes down the stairs by hand. Old Ajax south of Highway 2 is 1940s and 1950s wartime housing; the rest of town is 1980s to 2000s subdivisions. That tells us whether to expect mortar-bed tile and cast iron, or a 1990s acrylic surround that comes out in an hour.

Modest older lots take a compact machine and a driveway bin; the newer streets have wide driveways. Plumbing is capped by a licensed trade, the door is sealed, and tile, tub, vanity and fixtures leave through a protected hallway to a 10 yard bin.
